The VN is truly amazing! By far the best VN of its kind I’ve ever seen! The graphics are wonderful, the characters are realistic and human, the storyline is very fluid and spot on, the relationships are strong, the dialogue is great and it all just feels REAL. First I would like to thank you all for a beautifully presented and crafted game. I appreciate you all for the time you took to create it and it’s beautiful graphics and design. I found this yesterday and I was hooked till the end of the chapter and was crushed...I could go further. I was sucked into the somber but loving world you created and I was hooked on wanting to know things would play, as if watching a movie.
I hope there will be a follow up and UPDATE to add soon, I can’t wait to be back there, and see where they go. I feel invested in this story now that I’m here. Once again thanks.
I like this game a lot; it's full of sweet interactions even if it does touch societal morality at times -of course it's also one of the reasons for playing (as long as I can distinguish fantasy from reality).
I'm sure that not being able to kick Richard is for plot development, but I really felt bad about it -not being able to protect the woman of the house.
Also when they were forced to relocate and her resorting to drinking, was also emotionally depleting -but storywise it makes a lot of sense.
I'm really tired of games where everbody ends up having sex with everyone else; or games that swiftly derail into wild orgies.
I don't mind sex scenes; but this is so much softer, sweeter and generally not over the top or too excessive.
I really like to see how the various plotlines will pan out; for now this is aa game that I want to keep on playing, whereas other games simply stuff raw porn down my throat (without any choice on my part) until I start to choke and I simply quit and uninstall.
My only gripe is but a minor one -and probably another plotdriven event. And that's having no choice to refuse kissing Liane.
(Then there's the grammar and spelling and sometimes some use of words that feel like machine translations; sometimes it feels a little jarring and ruins the immersion. But that's really nitpicking.)
Overall, this game shows so much potential; I still have to try some other choices in the game thus far, just to see where it'll take me. But it is very nice -and refreshing- that it does not devolve into another fukfest type of game.
So many of these games dive into porn straight away, but this gets off to a nice paced start, with a character that actually resembles a human. Too often games will try to emphasize characteristics too much and end up making them look un-natural. This game so far has avoided that and has a pleasant, attractive looking model.
This is still a work in progress and my only suggestion is, perhaps trying to break up some of the long runs of dialog, even simple things like more than one sentence per line, reading for a few seconds then clicking and reading, clicking etc, feels taxing, where if more text was in each dialog window it would make reading and progressing easier.
Secondly although you are still in the early progress of adding sound, even though it is mono audio, make it play through both channels, sound on one side only is a bit jarring, the same effects on both sides would be fine and would feel a bit more balanced.
Besides that, it has been great so far and I can't wait to see more from you in the future.
